Nutritional Services

Nutrition plays an important role in your care during and after treatment at Winship.  Recommendations about food and eating for cancer patients can be very different from the usual suggestions for healthful eating. This can be confusing for many patients because these new suggestions may seem to be the opposite of what they've always heard.

Our registered dietician, Tiffany Barrett, MS, RD, LD, is available to answer questions and address concerns about managing your diet, weight, treatment side effects, and supplement information. Tiffany graduated from Florida State University with Bachelor of Science and completed a dietetic internship at the University of North Florida combined with a Master of Science.  Tiffany is a Registered Dietitian. Prior to joining Winship, Tiffany worked as a clinical dietitian at Archbold Medical Center at Lewis Singletary Oncology Center in Thomasville, Georgia. At Winship, her role is to provide nutrition assessments both in the inpatient and outpatient settings for oncology patients, assist patients and their families and caregivers with appetite changes, weight loss, nausea, vomiting and other nutrition-related side effects.
